Apple also deserves enormous credit for allowing the Carbon framework that Snak has depended on for so long to continue to exist way longer than they had to. Many Thanks guys :- With Snak you can meet people from all over the world, discuss any topic under the sun, share files and make friends.

All on IRC! Thousands of meeting rooms are available where you can discuss the issues of the day, technology and even your favorite TV shows and sports. You can keep up with friends and family or discuss business in private meeting rooms.
You can connect to as many rooms and networks as you want! They run various implementations of IRC servers, and are administered by various groups of IRC operators, but the protocol exposed to IRC users is very similar, and all IRC networks can be accessed by the same client software.
Mac IRC Clients
The largest IRC networks have traditionally been grouped in The Big Four — a designation for networks that top the statistics. The Big Four networks change periodically, but due to the community nature of IRC there are a large number of other networks for users to choose from.
The client takes the raw IRC traffic and turns it into an easy-to-use interface. There are a great many IRC clients available, and are mostly separated by operating system. Many people still use mIRC most likely due to the fact that it has been around for quite some time and has a wide variety of scripts available. There are a number of Internet browsers with IRC clients.
LimeChat - IRC Client on the App Store
Opera has a built in IRC client. Chatzilla is part of the SeaMonkey internet suite.
For novice users, mIRC and other large-window clients can seem unnecessarily large and complex. Other 3rd party themes are available to change the look.
Internet Relay Chat
The price seems out of place in the new App Store world, but remember that Snak dates way back to the s. It used to set the standard for Mac IRC clients because it was streamlined, easy, and yet also supported all the usual features. Well, that was then and this is now. Snak is very easy to set up and configure. Everything for each channel is contained in one window, and docking windows will allow multiple channels to share a window to maximize limited screen space.
There are also automated responses to events so that you can set up script-like actions without being a scripting expert. Supports multiple connections, and for each connection, uses ircII-style server lists which will automatically try the next server in a list until it succeeds.
